OrgSync makes searching for a student organization easy. Use the organization’s name, your interest category, or any keywords get a list of organizations that could be a match for you. You can then go to the organization’s OrgSync portal to discover more about a specific organization. Start here today!
Starting a new organization at ECU is easy! First, you need an idea that’s different from the already existing organizations on campus. Second, you need 10 interested members. Lastly, you’re required to complete the registration request on OrgSync and go through our New Student Organization process.
When you are ready select the button in green, “register new organization”, and complete the steps. Do not upload a constitution, just a blank Word document, and we’ll work with you to create on through the registration process. You can expect communication from a representative in the SAO office shortly after you submit.
SAO is responsible for supporting student organizations through risk management processes, organizational development and the recognition process. Recognition is the process whereby student organizations become “official” in the office of Student Activities and Organizations.
The Growing Organizational Leadership Development Series is a leadership development initiative created for leaders of registered student organizations to help provide them with the tools they need to be successful. This institute serves as an opportunity for organizations to get together and network while also providing skill development and leadership workshops.
SAO offers serval marketing opportunities for registered student organizations that include free designs for flyers, logos, and t-shirts. Complete the Marketing Request form on OrgSync.
SGA will fund up to 75% of an event, travel, etc for student organizations.
The basic prerequisite for receiving funding is that the organization be currently registered, have an up to date OrgSync portal, have a treasurer linked to SGA’s funding portal, and has made an effort to do individual fundraising.
